Integrated Naturopathic Medicine for Every Family
I, Dr. Erica Wood, proudly provide quality Naturopathic Primary Care Medicine at the Naturopathic Clinic of Issaquah for families of all shapes, sizes and varieties. Primary Care Medicine means that I can serve as your Primary Care Provider. In Washington State, this means that you can seek care for annual exams, PAP smears, order labs/imaging and be seen for acute concerns such as, but not limited to: colds, ear infections, bladder infections, bowel movement issues, sinus infections, etc. My practice is centered on Pediatrics, Family Medicine, and Women's Health. For pediatric care, I see newborns to 18 years old. Adult care starts at age 18 and at this age, the person does not need consent from parents nor parents present to be seen for healthcare. Conditions that I focus on include gut/gastrointestinal concerns, adrenal/thyroid dysfunctions, ADHD/ADD, anxiety, depression , PMS, menstrual irregularities, perimenopause and menopause.
Naturopathic Primary Care brings the values, as well as modalities of Evidence Based (EBM)Naturopathic Medicine to give you comprehensive, holistic healthcare. These modalities include nutrition, movement, breath work, hydrotherapy, herbs, supplements, and pharmaceuticals. Standards of Care established by the medical profession are used to help diagnose and treat the root cause of the issue, not the symptoms. I only use treatment modalities that have research/scientific support for their efficacy.
Laughter is the best medicine. There is scientific evidence that smiling (even if you don't feel like it) can help stir up feel good chemicals in your body. I use humor and (especially with the kiddos) some good old fashioned silliness to make my patients feel at ease. Let me help you and your family on a path to wellness. Thanks for stopping by at drericawood.com and looking forward to meeting you soon!
