FAQ

Late cancels/no show fees:
This is to ensure Dr. Wood is compensated for her time, as she spends time to prep for your appointment and sometimes we are unable to fill the available time slot if not given proper notice.
You must give 24 hours notice for cancelling appointments, no exceptions.
If you are 15 minutes late or more to your appointment, you will be charged a no show fee.  This is regardless if you give warning or not.
For first office visit that fee is $127.50. For return visits and annuals that fee is $67.50.  No exceptions unless your insurance is throgh Apple Health.
** No charges will be applied for Apple Health insured patients.**

Lab Results:
All lab results are released on the Patient Fusion Portal.  If labs are urgent, you will be called with results.  For lab interpretation and medical management this will require a follow up appointment.

After Hours:
For medical emergencies, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
For urgent matters:
For pediatric patients under 3 months, Dr. Wood allows for 3 after hours calls ; free of charge.  For pediatric patients that are over 3  months old and up, after hours calls are subject to a $70 charge and Dr. Wood will contact you asap.
For adult patients, if urgent matter cannot wait until next business day: $70 charge will be placed on credit card on file for any after hours charge.  Preferred method of contact is via the patient portal on Patient Fusion.

Medishares and Underinsured:
Please note, that those with medishares and underinsured are fully responsible for labwork, including imaging, blood tests, pap smears, colonoscopies.  For lab work, we use Labcorp and you are more than welcome to check prices on their website

Billing:
If any medical management occurs in a preventative exam, this will be billed separately along with your visit.  Even though preventative exams are covered with no co pay, if medical management that is not for preventative care is provided, this will go towards a deductible and trigger a co pay. We do not know this until after the visit many times, so a bill may be sent. Preventative exams are meant for screening and prevention only.  This is to ensure Dr. Wood is compensated for her time and medical care.
