Dr. Erica Wood
I am a Naturopathic Doctor and Certified Lactation Educator. My clinical focuses are family medicine, pediatrics, mental health and women's health. I utilize naturopathic and conventional evidence based medicine to ensure each patient receives individualized quality care. I approach healthcare as a team approach, where the patient (or parent) and the doctor work together to find optimal care that meets the needs of the unique person.
I earned my Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University where I obtained my clinical expertise in Family Medicine and Pediatrics with multiple clinics in the King County and Snohomish County areas, including Seattle Children’s Hospital, Seattle Reproductive Medicine and Flourish Family Medicine. Prior to Bastyr, I received my Masters of Health Science degree in Pathology Assistant Studies from Quinnipiac University and my Bachelors of Science degree in Biological Sciences from the State University of New York at Farmingdale.
I began my career path in Naturopathic Medicine, when I had a chronic health issue that was not resolving. A friend suggested that I see a Naturopathic Doctor. Now, I was new to WA state at this time and had no idea what this was. My first visit I felt very welcomed and loved the approach that the doctor had to my care. It wasn't about treating the symptoms, it was about treating the cause. After a few visits, my health began to improve and I felt empowered that a doctor approached my care as shared decision, not a lecture session. This is what made me change careers. I am a mom, wife, sister, daughter among many other hats. I spend my free time outdoors, exploring the PNW with my family and friends. Fun fact: Aqua is my favorite color. Gold is my favorite metal. Rock is my favorite music genre.
